Wait, what’s the Bundestag?

Before we continue we need to clear up one confusing thing. The Reichstag is the building, the Bundestag is the German name for the federal parliament. This means that the Bundestag meets inside the Reichstag. Got it? Don’t worry if not, you can pretty much just say Reichstag all the time, you’ll be fine, people in Berlin will know what you mean.

1. Book Online

The Best way to visit the Reichstag in Berlin is to book online. It’s completely free, and you can book now by clicking this link and following the instructions. You can visit any time from 08:00 to 00:00, but you might want to book early as time slots do fill up!

Top Tip!

2. Just Show Up

In super-organised Germany you can still be spontaneous! It is possible to just show up at the Reichstag even if all the time slots online are fully booked. Expect to stand in a long line for a long time, though.
